BMW i8
I have literally fallen in love with the i3, for which I was at the world premier a few months ago in New York. Although the news here is that this is the official i8 production car, it differs not from the concepts we’ve been ogling for the last year or so.
The i8 is one super-exotic looking car powered by a turbocharged, 231-horsepower 1.5L 3-cylinder engine. This power is channeled rearward while a 131 horsepower electric motor works the front wheels. Total tally is 360 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, and with AWD that enables the car to reach 100 km/h in only 4.4 seconds.
