Pros and Cons*
Pros

Comfort, good seat support, multilink rear suspension, shorter wheelbase than the Altima sedan …these are all areas in which this 2013 Coupe shines.

Cons
With a staid look, a lack of sportiness, a tired powertrain that can only be coupled with a CVT, this Coupe has a long way to go if it wants to stand out from its competitors.

Price
The 2.5 S, the Coupe’s only version, starts at $28,998, with 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, Intelligent Key with push button ignition, 4-wheel anti-lock braking system, a sunroof, cruise control, air conditioning, 8-way power-adjust driver seat, heated front seats as well as a leather steering wheel with audio controls.

Featuring leather seating upholstery, a Bose audio system with a 4.3-inch colour display, USB and iPod connectivity, hands-free Bluetooth phone system, a leather-wrapped shift knob, dual-zone automatic climate control, a rear-view monitor and textured metallic trim, the Premium package is available for an extra $2,800.

Several of the Premium package options can be bought separately.
Metallic paint is available for $135 while a pearl finish is available for $300.

Fuel Economy
The 2013 Nissan Altima runs on 8.9 L/100 km in the city 6.2 L/100 km on the highway.

Exterior Styling
Even though the Altima sedan has been graced with a new look, its two-door version remains unchanged. The Coupe’s sport cred is confirmed by its low ground clearance, shorter wheelbase and aerodynamic look, distinguished by its rear frame and projected front headlights.

Powertrain
The Coupe packs a 4-cylinder 2.5-litre engine with 175 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. An Xtronic CVT delivers its front-wheel drive.

Cargo Capacity
There’s 232 litres of storage available in the Altima Coupe.

Safety

Along with its six airbags, the model offers a plethora of safety features that will put your mind at rest while at the wheel. These include active front headrests, a dynamic control system that keeps you on course if you oversteer or understeer, a traction control system that can sense a slip and reduce engine power or apply brakes as well as electronic brake force distribution (EBD) which assures stability when slowing down. It’s comforting to note that in 2008, the Altima Coupe received the highest rating for side crash tests.
