Pros: The BMW 2 Series came in to replace the short-lived 1 Series, thankfully, offering lots of spunk and attitude behind the wheel along with an M version.
Cons: The M235i isn’t a “real” BMW M car, but it still offers more power than the base 228i, which means it’s more than just aesthetic upgrades like most M packaged BMWs, and you can tell your friends you own an M car -- and that’s what really counts, right?

Fuel economy numbers range between 8.4L/100km (BMW 228i Coupe) and 10.4L/100km (BMW M235i Coupe).
Powertrain: All 2015 BMW 228i models are equipped with a 2.0L inline-4 mill that produces 241 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The M235i models are treated with a 3.0L inline-6 TwinPower turbocharged unit that pushes out 322 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels unless you opt for the xDrive model in which case you’ll be treated to BMW’s all-wheel drive system. Transmission choices reside in an 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters, or a 6-speed manual.
Changes and Improvements: The BMW 2 Series has seen no major changes for 2015, save for some interior space increases for cargo capacity and interior volume.
Cargo Capacity: The 2015 BMW 228i and 235i Coupe offer up approximately 390 litres of cargo space, whereas the Cabriolet versions of each don’t have specific numbers released at the time of this writing, but count on it being much smaller than the Coupe, especially when the roof is down.
