Are you ready for a second season?

The successful Nissan Micra Cup is returning for a second season, which is fantastic news for racing and small-car enthusiasts alike. Over 30 drivers will compete in 16 races over eight weekends including five in Quebec and, for the first time, three in Ontario.

Last year’s champion, Olivier Bédard, will attempt to defend his title this year with the Albi Nissan Team. He will be joined, during the race weekends at Circuit Mont-Tremblant, by three young Quebec karting drivers between the ages of 16-18.

Alberta’s Stefan Rzadzinski (Pneus Touchette) is also back on the grid after earning a pair of victories in 2015. Ditto for female drivers Valérie Limoges (H. Grégoire), Valérie Chiasson (Nissan Gabriel Group), and Ashley Sahakian (United Auto Racing).

Another promising driver to keep an eye on is Nic Hammann, 22, from the Nissan GT Academy team. In fact, he was the 2014 Nissan GT Academy U.S. winner. Since then, Hammann has participated in Russia’s Blancpain Sprint Series, the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, and the Pirelli World Challenge.
