When it goes on sale across Canada later this month the all-new 2017 Hyundai Elantra will retail from $15,999, which is just $200 over the outgoing model’s base MSRP.

Sporting a bold look highlighted by the brand’s new hexagonal front grille, the 2017 Elantra is available with adaptive HID headlights and vertical LED daytime running lights for an even sharper appearance. Side mirrors with built-in turn signals, 17” alloy wheels, and welcome lights can also be specified.

Under the hood, there’s an all-new 2.0L 4-cylinder engine called “Nu,” which produces 147 horsepower through a standard manual transmission or a revised automatic transmission, both with six gears. Drivers can choose between Eco, Normal, and Sport modes.

Numerous safety features usually found on more expensive vehicles are available including autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning with lane keeping assist, and more.

Here are full pricing (MSRP) details for the 2017 Hyundai Elantra:

  • LE: $18,499
  • GL: $20,349
  • GLS: $22,699
