2018 Subcompact SUV of the Year: Durango, Armada or Tahoe?

Auto123.com will be crowning winners of the 2018 Auto123.com Awards for best vehicles of the year on November 22 in Toronto. We’ve already unveiled the three finalists in each of the 17 categories; today we look in more detail at the Full-Size SUV of the Year finalists.

Dodge Durango
Still decked out in its characteristic muscular outer shell, the Durango promises a sportier driving expeirence than its competitors. With an output varying between 295 and 475 hp, its range of engines includes a 3.6L V6 and a pair of V8 HEMIs, a 5.7L version as well as a 6.4L workhorse that allows the Durango to pull up to 8,700 lbs. Nissan Armada
More luxurious than most of its rivals, this 390-hp V8-equipped colossus can tow up to 8,500 lbs. It comes with a high-end Bose audio system, a navigation system accessed through an 8-inch touchscreen and several cutting-edge safety systems like front collision alert and automatic emergency braking. Chevrolet Tahoe
With its excellent mix of technology, styling and performance, the Tahoe continues to stand out versus the rest. Able to seat up to nine occupants and with a maximum towing capacity of 8,600 lbs, it’s tailor-made for families on vacation. Available as an option is 4G LTE and wireless charging.
