The first-ever 2018 Dodge Durango SRT made its debut today at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show and will start arriving in dealerships this fall.
Powered by the proven 392 cubic inch HEMI V8, the Durango SRT delivers 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, sprinting from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in just 4.4 seconds and covering the quarter mile in 12.9 seconds as certified by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). The engine is mated to an 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission that’s specifically calibrated for this model to optimize shift points and deliver maximum torque to all four wheels.
A new wide-body exterior brings the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT together as a true performance SUV, while the newly designed SRT hood features a functional cold-air duct and heat extractors to cool the engine and improve overall performance.
On the road, handling is enhanced by a new, performance-tuned AWD system and an Active Damping System with seven different modes. Completing the package are massive new Brembo brakes, high-performance Pirelli tires, stiffer springs, and a new exhaust system tuned to offer an unmistakably deep note modeled after the Dodge Charger SRT.
Other highlights of the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT include best-in-class towing capability of 3,900 kg (8,600 lbs), standard leather and suede seats, and new carbon-fibre trim.
