Where is the 2027 Honda Passport TrailSport assembled?
Both the Passport and its V6 powertrain continue to be manufactured at Honda’s assembly complex in Lincoln, Alabama.

2027 Honda Passport TrailSport – What’s new?
The main mechanical upgrade for 2027 is a reengineered suspension that boosts ground clearance to 245 mm, 35 mm more than previously. Honda says this figure surpasses the ground clearance offered by rivals like the Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium and Subaru Outback Wilderness.
Rather than relying on simple spacer lifts, Honda engineers redesigned roughly 70 per cent of the major suspension and chassis components. In total, 28 individual parts were modified or newly developed, including the springs, dampers, control arms, stabilizer bars, steering knuckles, rear driveshafts and front subframe.
These updates directly enhance the SUV's off-road geometry, yielding approach and departure angles of 25 degrees (up by two degrees) and a breakover angle of 23 degrees (a three-degree increase). Suspension articulation and ride quality over uneven terrain have been revised accordingly, while retuned steering promises sharper, more responsive handling on paved roads.

Design of the 2027 Honda Passport TrailSport
Visually, the 2027 Passport TrailSport sets itself apart with larger front and rear fender flares, a darker reshaped lower front fascia and two amber LED accent lights integrated into the hood scoop to complement the signature amber daytime running lights.
An available Blackout Package adds black bumper trim alongside 18-inch black alloy wheels and dark Honda exterior badges. A new Smoke Blue Pearl paint colour also joins the palette for 2027.

Interior of the 2027 Honda Passport TrailSport
Inside, equipment levels improve for the entry-level TrailSport. Honda’s TrailWatch camera system, previously reserved for the higher-tier TrailSport Touring trim, is now standard equipment across the line. TrailWatch provides front, rear, side and 360-degree camera views alongside real-time wheel-position graphics to help drivers navigate tight spots and trail obstacles. A heated steering wheel also becomes standard.

Powertrain of the 2027 Honda Passport TrailSport
Under the hood, the Passport retains its proven naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and Honda’s torque-vectoring i-VTM4 all-wheel-drive system.
Fuel consumption ratings are the same across all trims, with 11.7L/100 km the official combined rating. Maximum towing capacity is 5,000 lb (just under 2,270 kg).
