The GT1 cars do no longer race at Le Mans, and the GT2 are split in two categories : GTE Pro (professional drivers) and GTE Am (at least one amateur driver and / or a car dating from at least one year).
In GTE Pro (18 cars), Porsche will aim to defend itstitle. But the German car constructor, which clinched a miraculous victory in 2010 (after the leading Ferrari and Corvette had to retire), is likely to struggle alongside the works Chevrolet Corvettes, the BMW Motorsports’ M3s, or brand new Ferrari F458s. This will also be the come back of Lotus, with two Evoras ran by team Jetalliance, with no great hopes however…
Finally, in GT Am (10 cars), it will be a great battle featuring well-known sports cars (Corvette C6 ZR1 2010, Ferrari F430 and Porsche 997 2010) ran by top teams (Larbre, AF Corse, Flying Lizard, etc.)
