Unveiled at the 2011 New York International Auto Show, the 2012 Kia Rio sedan is now launching in Canada. Taking its place beside the Rio 5-door hatchback, the sedan reflects Kia’s constant efforts to improve automotive design.
The affordable new Rio sedan starts at just $13,795 and offers great fuel economy (4.9L/100 km on the highway and 6.6L/100 km in the city) without sacrificing performance. The five available variants (LX, LX+, EX, EX+ and EX Luxury) are powered by a direct injection GDI 1.6L 4-cylinder engine that produces 138 hp. It’s paired with a standard 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 6-speed autobox.
Emphasizing comfort and spaciousness, the 2012 Rio sedan boasts various technological features including some that were developed in collaboration with Microsoft.
