Which is why GM is showing off about 20 concept cars that feature manyparts you buy off the rack from the dealers, including:
-a Buick Terraza crossover sport van with 17-inch chrome wheels
-Cadillac STS and XLR models with upscale wheels, grilles and performanceexhaust systems
-Chevrolet has a new supercharger kit for the Cavalier with the 2.2-litreEcotec inline-four that it's showing off in the Xtreme Coupe, and ahigh-performance Duramax diesel in a Silverado pickup, and
-Saturn even has a VUE sport-cutewith go-fast looking parts from SPO
Look for all of the car companies to increase their supply of accessoryparts in the years to come, as they struggle to earn more money from theproducts they design and build.
If they're priced competitively, those parts can perhaps serve thecustomers better than what's already on the market from outside firms.
