An important piece of Mazda's puzzle
Denis Leclerc recently received a plaque signed by the president and CEO
of Mazda World in honor of his achievements and the opening of his magnificent dealership.
High executives from Mazda, including James O'Sullivan, Don Romano, Pierre Lapointe, Greg Young and Alain Desrochers, were on hand to celebrate the success of this dreamer from Mascouche.
We should mention that Mazda brought its CX-9 for the first time in North America. The new Mazdaspeed3 and MX-5 with power retractable hardtop were among the vehicles unveiled to the public.
Here are a few comments about Denis Leclerc that were overheard last Friday night :
James O'Sullivan, president and CEO of Mazda North America, said Mr. Leclerc is "a prime example of determination, extraordinary customer feel and great generosity. He knows, he feels, he acts. We can't help but admire him, support him and giving him what he wants."
Don Romano, President of Mazda Canada, applauded the commitment of Denis Leclerc toward Mazda. "Ten years ago, Mazda Canada only sold 25,000 vehicles. Today, we exceed the 80,000 mark. Thanks to the determination of Mr. Leclerc, Quebec now accounts for more than a third of all Mazda sales across the country." (Writer's note: Albi the Giant represents 4 percent of Mazda's Canadian market).
Alain Desrochers, Mazda's regional director, talked about Mr. Leclerc's builder qualities: "He imparted on his team a sense of entrepreneurship, a willingness and a power to go forward as well as a successful approach to selling cars."
Long live the giant
Go see the dealership and you'll be amazed by its size. That's Denis' way of thanking his customers: offering them facilities than answer all of their needs.
There are other goals to achieve. Mr. Leclerc wants to sell 5,500 vehicles by 2008, 7,000 by 2009 and 10,000 by 2010. Don't bet against him, just as you wouldn't bet against the devil. Like he said: "You have to dream and never strop dreaming, even if you sometimes have to put everything on hold to start again. The key is never, ever giving up."
