An all new 2003 Honda Accord made its debut today, and the vehicle will undergo the most dramatic change in its 27-year history. Bringing a new level of style, performance and sophistication to the intermediate class when the new Accord goes on sale. The 2003 Accord Sedan will go on sale in Canada early October, and the 2003 Accord Coupe is scheduled to go on sale at the beginning of November. Accord sales in Canada are expected to reach 32,000 units during the 2003 model year.

The Accord features freshened styling for both sedan and coupe models to emphasize its new sporty performance and appeal to buyers emotionally. Styling for the Accord Sedan and Coupe is more distinctive to ultimately distinguish the two vehicles from each other. A host of additional standard equipment has been added on all models, including anti-lock brakes, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, and new 5-speed automatic transmissions.

Upgraded 4-cylinder and V6 engines team with new automatic and manual transmissions to give the 2003 Accords more power, improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions than the powertrains they replace. A V6-powered Accord Coupe equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission will be available in early 2003.
