The MINI John Cooper Works Countryman is the latest model to join the John Cooper Works lineup. Production is scheduled to start this fall.
The race car-inspired MINI John Cooper Works Countryman will come standard with the brand's ALL4 all-wheel drive system and a four-cylinder turbocharged engine rated at 211 horsepower. The former uses an electromagnetic centre differential to distribute torque seamlessly between the front and rear axles depending on grip conditions, while the latter is based on the BMW Group's VALVETRONIC technology which improves engine responsiveness and efficiency.
As a result, the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and averages 7.2 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres. Incidentally, this model introduces a new 6-speed automatic transmission as an alternative to the standard 6-speed manual.
Boasting unique looks and distinctive accents – both inside and out – the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman features an aerodynamic body kit, 18'' light alloy wheels, and a sport-tuned exhaust system with chrome tips. Chili Red can be specified as a contrasting paint finish for the roof and side mirrors. This colour also enhances the exclusive design of the sports seats.
