The highly anticipated, third-generation Porsche Cayman finally made its debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show today.
Longer, faster and more powerful than its predecessor, the new Cayman is wrapped in a lightweight aluminium and steel body.
The base model is powered by a 2.7L flat-six engine rated at 275 horsepower -- good for 0-60 mph (96 km/h) acceleration in 5.1 seconds. Meanwhile, the sportier Cayman S gets a 3.4L flat-six that produces 325 horsepower and sprints from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. The automaker's PDK transmission and a Sport Chrono Package are part of the mix.
Both the Porsche Cayman and Cayman S will go on sale in Canada next spring starting at $59,900 and $72,900, respectively.
