Alex Job Racing's Lotus Evora GT is ready for its ALMS debut at the Long Beach Grand Prix, held this April 13-14.

Townsend Bell and Bill Sweedler will put the No. 23 Battery Tender/Yokohama through its paces for the first time.

Much of the development work is still to come, but enough has been done to allow the team to start gathering race weekend data.

"We still have a pretty long list of items to work on with the Evora GT," team principal Alex Job said.

"But the schedule won't wait for us. We have only had the car for three-weeks, so we are taking a fairly cautious approach to its first race. […] We really need to get through Long Beach and Laguna Seca, gather the data and see what the car needs to be competitive against the GT competition for the future."

Both drivers agree with their boss about debuting the car in Long Beach.

"Long Beach is the best street racing event in the country, Bell said. "There is just a great energy and it also my home race. This will be a good opening event for the Lotus Evora GT."

"How can you beat legally driving 165 mph around town?" Sweedler added.
