Best Compact Pickup Truck: 2022 Ford Maverick
Ford’s rookie compact truck won in the Best New Model category, but also in the segment it competes in. For now it’s not an overpopulated segment, but still. Hats off to the Maverick.

- The interior and the bed feature useful storage spaces
- Welcoming ride, with suspension and chassis tuned for comfort
- Payload capacity of 1,500 lb (680 kg)
- Towing capacity of 2,500 lb (1,134 kg) for the hybrid, and 4,000 lb (1,814 kg) for the version with 2.0L turbo EcoBoost engine
