Last year, Villeneuve started the season “ just for fun”. But Villeneuve had so much fun that he ran the entire series.
The Andros Trophy is a France-based professional ice racing series that showcases “Silhouette” cars that are powered by 375-bhp V-6 normally aspirated engines, and fitted with four-wheel steering and all-wheel drive systems. Other former F1 drivers will also be back, such as Alain Prost and Olivier Panis.

Villeneuve is back with Skoda France, and will be driving the No. 3 Fabia alongside Franck Lagorce.

Despite unusual warm temperatures, series' organisers confirmed that the season would begin as schedule in Val Thorens this weekend.
