The anticipated electric version of the Aston Martin Rapide, called RapidE, was introduced as a concept yesterday in London. It was developed in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering.
During the event, Aston Martin and Chinese investment group ChinaEquity announced an agreement to explore the feasibility of a production model. If successful, the new luxury sports car could hit the market in around two years.

We are excited to participate in the development of the RapidE and to make a contribution to Sino-British clean energy and green environmental strategy. We feel confident that there are significant opportunities for electric cars in China and the world," said ChinaEquity Chairman Chaoyong Wang.
As for the RapidE’s performance, Aston Martin did not provide any details or technical specs. We’ll keep you updated when more information is available.
