There’s a brand new player in the electric-car business. Atieva has announced plans to unveil a first vehicle at the Beijing Auto Show in April, according to Green Car Reports.

Located in Silicon Valley, Atieva will soon become a property of Chinese automaker Beijing Automotive Corp. (BAIC). Other high-profile companies will participate in the development of the mystery EV, as well, including Siemens and Korean battery maker SK Group.

We indeed don’t know much about the vehicle right now. Expect something unique, though, as the Atieva website reads: “We’re a car company, not a design house. And we’re definitely not a traditional automaker.”

The company is looking to hire a large number of engineers, designers, accountants, and other specialists. Want to apply?
