The all-new 2014 Audi RS 7 Sportback, which appeared for the first time today at the NAIAS in Detroit, is a five-door luxury coupe that can send you from 0-100 km/h in a mere 3.9 seconds.

How? Much of the credit goes to a 4.0L twin-turbo TFSI V8 engine that produces 560 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. And get this: RS 7 Sportback customers can request to have the speed limiter disabled, allowing them to reach velocities of up to 305 km/h!

Through Cylinder On Demand technology, four of the eight cylinders shut off in gentle driving to improve fuel economy. Overall, despite its incredible power figures, the 2014 Audi RS 7 Sportback burns as little as 9.8L/100km, according to the EPA test cycle.

Available in 10 different colours, the body uses 20% aluminum to make the car even lighter than the S7. Standard equipment includes 20'' alloy wheels with a seven twin-spoke design, while three sets of 21'' wheels are available.

Cargo capacity increases from 535 to 1,390 litres when the rear seats are folded.

Prices and market release dates have not been disclosed at the show.
