The two six-rider teams representing Auto123.com delivered a great performance at Make-A-Wish Quebec's 48-hour bicycle ride, which took place this past weekend on Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.

Established in 2005, the Make-A-Wish Quebec foundation, whose motto is ''Believe in the strength of a wish'', has granted the wish of more than 150 children with life-threatening medical conditions, bringing them hope, strength and joy.

The 48-hour bicycle ride is the largest annual fund-raising event held by Make-A-Wish Quebec. As such, it makes over half of all wishes in Quebec possible.

The goal of the 12 riders and two honorary supporters from Auto123.com was to raise $7,200. ''We're very proud to have exceeded our goal by reaching a total of more than $14,000,'' said Kyell Vyncke, Vice President of Corporate Development at EVOLIO/Auto123.com.

Auto123.com is therefore able to grant the wish of two children. One of them had already been sponsored by Jean-Philippe Paquin, President of EVOLIO/Auto123.com. His name is Miguel, 4, who suffers from myasthenia gravis, a severe neuromuscular disease that severely damages the immune system.

His treatments force him and his parents to spend a full day at Ste. Justine Hospital every two weeks. Miguel's wish is to see the ocean and play on the beach with his brothers and sisters while enjoying sweet, relaxing moments with his family. Now he will get the chance to do just that.

The other child to be granted his or her wish will be selected in the upcoming weeks with the help of Make-A-Wish Quebec representatives.

The Auto123.com riders include Martin Paquette, Cosima Marcos, Marie-Ève Leroux, Valérie Genest, Isabelle Sigouin, Jacqueline Fillion-Robin, Guillaume Serrat, Philippe Garand-Leduc, Julien Laplante, Étienne Corbin, Yan Renaud and René Fagnan, who raised money among their peers and rode 8 to 10 hours each, both under the bright sun and shining stars. Everyone would like to thank all the generous donors.

The 48-hour bicycle event raised a grand total of $806,000, a new record that's 2.5 times greater than last year's. Thank you all!
