2011 winners Christopher Mies, Darryl O'Young and newcomer Christer Jöns have come to Australia to win the Bathurst 12 Hour, and they mean business: they've already earned the pole position.
They managed to edge all their rivals, in their Audi R8 LMS, whilst staying below a set time limit. Had they not done so, they would have had to carry weight ballasts during the race.
By doing so, they also cashed in $5,000.
Behind them, lie a bunch of Ferraris and Lamborghinis that they will have to keep behind, come race time. They start will be given Saturday night at 8 o'clock.
The team's second car could only manage fifth on the grid.
