A European press release from BMW has confirmed that the premium automaker will soon launch the ultimate flagship sedan of their model lineup. The BMW 760i and 760 Li will boast what BMW says are maximum exclusivity and supremacy, offering owners the highest level of refinement in their segment.

The two model designations indicate standard (i) or extended (Li) wheelbases, and each model will come packed full of segment-leading features including various driver assist systems, a dynamic suspension system and even self-sealing doors that close themselves with a soft touch. Night vision, Adaptive Lights, Lane Departure Warning and a High-Beam Assistant are all available too, as is a heads-up display.

Of course, the 760 designation indicates the presence of a V-12 engine under the hood. In this case, engineers have created a completely new unit that employs various efficiency-boosting tricks like direct injection, variable valve timing and the extensive use of aluminum.

It's also twin-turbocharged, and generates a colossal 544 horsepower and 553 lb.-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels by an 8-speed automatic transmission. Ultimately, drivers of the 760 range can expect extremely potent acceleration performance while taking in the luxuries of one of the world's premier sedans.

No official word yet on pricing or Canadian market availability.
