The BMW iPod Adapter makes for easy access to the users music library, plus the capability of shuffling songs, skipping between tracks and adjusting the volume. Another unique feature allows BMW/MINI owners to create up to five "BMW playlists," accessible at the touch of a button. In a mellow mood after a long day at the office, press 3; want to rock out, press 2, and so on.

Which cars will be compatible? BMW's 3 Series, Z4 Roadster, X3 and X5 SUVs, plus the MINI Cooper - the latter model being the ideal candidate.
What's it cost? No Canadian prices have been announced as of yet, but if it sells for the same price as it does in the U.S., adjusted for currency, expect to pay just over $200 (USD$149) for the iPod Adaptor. That's just for 2002, 2003 and 2004 BMW X3, X5, Z4 and 3 Series models, with the added cost of installation once they become available on July 12. If you own a MINI you'll have to wait until later this summer to hook up an iPod.
