M3 Concept
Very few cars are as anticipated as the next M3. The M3 concept seen in Geneva is virtually identical to the production model. Under the buldging hood, the M3 features an all-new 4.0L V8 that develops 420hp mated to an available new dual-clutch DSG style transmission. Competition for the M3 has never been fiercer. With the arrival of the RS4, Lexus IS-F and the soon-to-be-released C63 AMG, the M3 have to be fast. The trick to the M3's performance is its light-weight RWD setup and a number of carbon-fibre body panels.
M5 Touring
If you crave the World's fastest Break, BMW has just the car for you: the 2008 M5 Touring. Mechanically, both the sedan and the wagon are identical save for the availability of a conventionally 6-speed manual transmission. So, the 507 hp 5.0L V10 wagon is capable of reaching 100 km/h in 0.1 seconds more than the sedan and can theoretically reach over 200 mph but is limited at 155 mph. On a similar note, the 5-Series as a whole has gone under the knife and received a facelift.
