The BMW M3 has been around for 30 years now, and to celebrate the milestone the German automaker has launched the new BMW M4 GTS, which will be limited to 700 units worldwide.
This amazing coupe lapped the famous Nürgurgring-Nordschleife in just 7:28 minutes. It will be available for the first time in North America.
Under the hood of the BMW M4 GTS is the same inline 6-cylinder engine that powers the current M3 and M4. However, the addition of a new water injection technology bumps output to 500 hp and torque to 442 lb-ft. Look for 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h (electronically limited).
Outside, the M4 GTS sports two sets of twin circular LED headlights with four corona rings, as well as L-shaped OLED (organic light-emitting diodes) taillights. The interior features exclusive carbon fibre M bucket seats covered in Alcantara/Merino leather. They weigh around 50% less than the sports seats in the BMW M4 Coupe.
Pricing and the exact on-sale date for the BMW M4 GTS in Canada and the U.S. still remain unspecified. As usual, we’ll keep you posted.
