9 - Autonomous parking
Available with front and rear parking sensors, the X7 can assist drivers when parking. If you find parking tricky or annoying, you can opt for the Panoramic View Parking System, which provides a 360-degree view of the vehicle. It's even possible to get a hands-free parallel parking assistance system that can take care of that particular parking manoeuvre.
In addition, with reverse assist, the vehicle actually remembers the last 50 metres of forward travel. It is then capable of reproducing them autonomously in reverse, which can be ideal for performing a manoeuvre in the evening when you can't see anything (say, after parking there during the day).
10 - Driving
Aside from the luxury, price, space, V8 engine (test drive) and stand-alone parking features, likely the most impressive thing about the X7 is the driving experience it delivers. The vehicle can weigh as much as 2,500 kg, but it never drives like it, its electronic systems make it feel like a ballerina when it's time to perform.
But expect to feel some pain at the pump; there are miracles that technology simply can't perform.
