(a gentleman and a champion). Therefore, we could say that the young Bruno Spengler is a true gentleman and vice-champion.

Spengler, 23, was the honorary guest of the 12th annual banquet, held on Tuesday, November 7. This engaging driver blew away the crowd of 250 attendees after being introduced by the host, René Fagnan.

Showing an alert mind and tons of class, Bruno brilliantly answered all the questions that were thrown at him by Mr. Fagnan, who had prepared trick questions about his future.

A handsome and talented young man, Spengler has been a protégé of Mercedes-Benz and Norbert Haug for several years now. This year, in his second season in the DTM Championship, he really showed what he was capable of, winning four races out of ten and earning the title of vice-champion. He finished only a few points short of the leader, his teammate Bernd Schneider.

Bruno said he was proud to be invited as the honorary guest of the 12th annual banquet and that the DVD presentation commemorating the late Gilles Villeneuve really moved him.

"While I wasn't alive during Gilles' glory years, he still has a fond place in my heart. I've read a book about him and he was a driver that always impressed me by his many accomplishments and charisma. I'm very proud to be here tonight with members of his family and many of his friends."
