Familiar yet with Avenir, Buick’s new prestige banner (the equivalent of GMC’s Denali line)? Inaugurated with the 2018 Enclave crossover, available on the market since October, the new sub-brand now welcomes a second model with the world premiere of the Buick LaCrosse Avenir. This addition becomes the new top-end version of Buick’s flagship sedan.
“Nine out of ten LaCrosse buyers are choosing one of the top two trim levels — customers are signaling they want more from Buick. With even more content and an elegant look, Avenir adds a unique name and appearance for those who want the best of our attainable luxury.”
- Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick and GMC
Inspired by the Avenir concept, the Buick LaCrosse Avenir is fronted by a more-prominent grille decorated with chrome wings. The Avenir logo appears on the front doors, and the exclusive 19-inch Pearl Nickel wheels (or optional 20-inch Midnight Silver wheels) add a further touch of prestige.
The cabin of this high-end trim features a distinctive chestnut colour scheme, embroidered front-row headrests and the Avenir name on the sill plates.
Also offered standard in the new prestige model is a 310-hp V6 engine wedded to a 9-speed automatic transmission, a navigation system, a Bose Centerpoint surround sound audio system and a panoramic moonroof. Those looking for more can add the available all-wheel drive system, a black interior, continuous variable real-time dampening control and several drive assist systems.
The Buick LaCrosse Avenir will be available at dealerships as of early 2018.
