From the back seat, however, the Regal Cielo is quite an experience. For once, people in the back get a great view of the sky and various surroundings. It must be what it's like to ride in a car during a parade. It should make the kids and the grandparents a lot less fidgety during family outings.
The three-piece roof actually has three settings -- traditional sunroof open, rear window gone, and roof and rear window gone.
The three pieces have been cleverly designed to slip quietly and solidly into a space between the rear seat and the trunk. This does indeed consume some of the trunk space, but not to a degree that would make it a deal breaker.
There's more than a good view available when the three pieces in the trunk, since the side windows and the roof rails also provide the Regal Cielo with more safety and security than a convertible delivers. The side structure would be very handy in a rollover situation and the ability to close a hardtop roof delivers more resistance to thieves and carjackers and all of the other ills that a ragtop is open to.
