Sawula pointed out that just about everything is standard on the EXT, since there are only two options a sunroof at $1,990 and White Diamond premium paint at $1,295.
In its standard configuration, Escalade EXT offers a roomy, luxurious and comfortable five-passenger cab and a 1.6-m long cargo box. If more bed space is required, owners can convert the reconfigurable Midgate feature (no tools are needed) in a few minutes to extend the bed to 2.5 m.
The Midgate of the Escalade EXT folds into the interior of the cab to create a 1.2 m x 2.43 m cargo area to transport larger items, and even more space can be created by removing the middle window and storing it in its on-board space.
The cargo box features a standard three-piece tonneau cargo cover and lockable tailgate to protect items secured inside from the elements and theft, no matter which bed configuration is being used.
The sides of the cargo box, along with the Midgate and tailgate, are constructed of a composite material that is pretty much impervious to scratches.
Sawula believes that "The reconfigurability of the EXT will be our edge in an increasingly competitive luxury truck market," and it's hard to argue that.
