Despite Calgary beating Vancouver in the first round, Flames support is rampant. The sight of a West Vancouver youth having temporarily tattooed "Go Flames Go" on her arm, is a sign of the nationwide excitement, with local bars and restaurants playing the games on their big screen TVs for ex-Calgarians and Vancouverites alike. Such support for the "Cinderella" Calgary team is sweeping the country, with arch rival Edmonton even purchasing Flames merchandise and cheering the team on. Many in Toronto are joining in the chorus of cheers to back Calgary in a similar way to when Westerners rallied behind the Blue Jays during their run to win the World Series in 1992 and then again in '93, a feat Torontonians had been waiting for since the MLB team was organized in 1976.

According to Marcotte, now that the Flames have advanced to the final round the Flame MINI will "definitely be making its way into hostile territory, in either Philly or Tampa." Its destination will, of course, be subject to which opposing team ends up hosting the U.S. half of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Now that Philadelphia has rallied back to force a game seven in Tampa Bay, it's anyone's series. The final verdict will be played out Sunday.
Either way Marcotte and Emms are up for the cause, "Because as we all know, the MINI is made for adventure and a good road trip!", Marcotte added. No doubt a little black bomb with red, orange and white Calgary Flame decals will be headed south on the 401 filled to the brim with red faced hockey fans chanting "Go Flames Go" all the way. Now that's Canadian spirit at its finest.
