2002 Toyota Camry Road Test

Take a good look at the all-new Camry. It's come a long way from its boxy 4-door, 4-cylinder Corona replacement namesake, launched in 1983. It wasn't much of a performer either, nor was it particularly attractive, but that didn't impede Toyota's first front-drive mid-size family car in earning a 99% ownership satisfaction rating - the highest ever recorded to that date. Yet this is 2002, and competition in the mid-size segment is beyond fierce. Is the new Camry good enough to carry on the legend, and warrant the brands continued praise?
