So Canada, gear up for racing season. We're a privileged nation to host nothing less than four major motorsport events, and that with only 10% the population of our neighbors to the south who host less per capita - not including left-turn only series such as the IRL (yawn) and NASCAR, the WWE of motorsport.

What's more we've got three Canadians to cheer for. The Americans only have two in Jimmy Vasser and rookie Ryan Hunter-Reay, both of which are farther down the standings than our least successful driver, in 11th and 15th place respectively.
And in case you're thinking that you'll go next year instead, this is motorsport we're talking about. Even with both F1 and to a lesser extent CART currently looking relatively strong, the high cost of fielding teams and the precarious state of sponsorship in today's lackluster economy could mean there may not be a next year.
While it's not time yet to panic, and hopefully never will be, Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto locals should take the opportunity to attend the biggest parties of the year. The spectacle of motorsport is once again coming to town, don't miss out.
