Octane Racing Group, organiser and promoter of the Grand Prix of Canada held a press breifing Monday in Montreal to unveil some details of their contract with Bernie Ecclestone.
Francois Dumontier (photo), president of Octane, said that the tickets price for the 2010 Grand Prix of Canada should remain to what they were in 2008.
“We expect to put the tickets on sale before Christmas” said Dumontier. “I invite people interesting in purchasing tickets to visit our web site at www.circuitgillesvilleneuve.ca or to send us a fax at 514-350-0007. The attendants will contact them at a later date.”
“Octane has a contract with the Formula One Administration to stage the Formula 1 race here on Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for the next five years,” Dumontier added.
“Officials of the FIA and the FOA are expected to visits the installations in the next few years but we don’t foresee any problems. The track has been repaved at several key places last year prior to the NASCAR race. The press room and the team hospitality units used in 2008 have been purchased by Parc Jean Drapeau and will be used in 2010,” he added.
The 2010 Grand Prix of Canada will be held in Montreal June 11, 12 and 13.
