The Buick Rainier shares its basic architecture and powertrains with the Chevy Trailblazer, GMC Envoy and Oldsmobile Bravada. The Bravada will be phased out at the end of this year along with the entire Oldsmobile brand. In the U.S. the Isuzu Ascender, a replacement for the Trooper that came out this year, is also built on the identical platform. GM has plans to introduce a smaller Hummer on the Rainier architecture as well, presumably dubbed the H3.
