Sasha Anis took his Hyundai Genesis to the top step of the Super Touring class podium during round 14 of the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship held at circuit ICAR on September 10th.

In second place, Étienne Borgeat drove a fine race in his GT Racing Pontiac Solstice. But behind him the battle was intense between Dean Fantin (BMW 330i), Philip Fayer (Pontiac Solstice) and Scott Nicol (Honda Civic Si). The third and final spot on the podium went to Dean Fantin.

In championship standings, Borgeat will be trying to close it all down tomorrow. With 1,407 points, he leads Dean Fantin, 1,360 points and Bob Attrel (Hyundai Genesis), 1,270 points.

In the Touring class, Alain Lauzière aboard his Mini Cooper copy-pasted Anis' strategy. He lead the race from start to finish. Gary Kwok brought his Honda Civic home in second place, in front of a charging Michel Sallenbach (Mini Cooper).

Sallenbach spun in the early stages of the race, but fought his way back to the podium.

In Touring class points standings, Tom Kwok is still first with 1,573 points. Then come Mini drivers Lauzière and Sallenbach with 1,392 and 1,305 points.

2011 champions will be crowned after the season's final race, scheduled Sunday at 1 PM.
