Montréal - For the first time in its 34-year history, the Montréal International Auto Show is inviting car lovers to purchase reduced-priced tickets to the event in advance by visiting the Auto Show Web site at www.montrealautoshow.com or in the automotive section at www.sympatico.ca.

Organisers of the Auto Show have joined hands with Sympatico-Lycos to offer a special rate for Internet users who wish to order their tickets online and receive them in the mail, all at a cost of $8.50 (taxes and other fees included). This offer will end on January 18, one-week prior to the Auto Show opening.

By ordering tickets online, the 2002 Auto Show visitors can save up to $1.50 off the regular price of admission and avoid on-site waiting lines by heading straight for the Auto Show turnstiles at the Olympic Stadium.

Another added feature to the Auto Show Web site is that Internet users can get a chance to win an all-inclusive trip to Mexico, courtesy of Air Transat Holidays. No purchase is necessary for participating in the contest.

More than 250,000 visitors are expected to attend the 34th annual Montréal International Auto Show, which will take place from January 25 to February 3, 2002 at the Olympic Stadium. The Auto Show is organised by the Montréal Automobile Dealers' Corporation (MADC), a non-profit organisation founded in 1913.
