The 'Green Award' went to Ford's Model U, based on its planet friendliness, use of alternative fuels and efficient ideas in parts, materials and processes.
Chevy's Cheyenne, one of the most 'buildable' concept vehicles of the show, took top prize in the CCS 'Human Award'. It was judged upon user friendliness, interface innovations and driver interaction. One of the Cheyenne's most innovative features is a side door that opens allows easier access to the pickup box. Don't be surprised to see this feature on pickup trucks in the near future.

The 'Designer's Design Award' as all Ford's, won by the new Mustang GT concept. The eight judges felt it to be the best of the Detroit show, declaring that it must be built. Fortunately it is said to be 95% accurate to the future 2005 Mustang.
