Champ Car
Alex Tagliani set the 2nd fastest time in the first practice session. Justin Wilson was fastest of the 20 drivers, just 1/10th of a second faster than Tag.
Paul Tracy, in his last drive for Forsythe Racing, set the 6th time behind Oriol Servia.
Atlantic
Toronto's James Hinchcliffe set the fastest time in the first practice session for the Formula Atlantic series. Quebec Kevin Lacroix also did very well, setting the 3rd time behind Jonathan Bomarito. Twenty-three cars competed in this first test session.
