Hardy Spranger, Executive Director of Chevrolet Europe said, "The T2X is a very attractive concept that picks up the styling

cues first seen on the Chevrolet S3X which will be on the European market next year." Spranger also added, "The T2X could fit very neatly into Chevrolet's European product line-up. As we did with the S3X, we will monitor public reaction closely before making a final decision."

With Spranger's comments about Chevy of Europe, several key issues come to mind, both of which can be linked to the T2X's metal-trimmed grille. While the car will have the golden bowtie, the shape is much in line with the current Opel grille. While it has been established that the production version of the S3X will be the forthcoming replacement to the aged Isuzu Rodeo-based Opel Frontera, the T2X would be a formidable replacement to the short-wheelbase, open-topped Frontera Sport.

Following the path of speculation, there's also a hint of possibility that something very close to the T2X could show up

in dealerships. Now that Saturn has adopted Opel's corporate face, as reflected in the Sky roadster and the Aura midsize sedan concept, it's only logical to think that Saturn could benefit from the T2X. A product such as this could be beneficial to the domestic brand's lineup, plugging the gap of a go-anywhere, do-anything SUV, especially now that GMC will be bringing the curtains down on its two-door SUV, the Jimmy.

As with the S3X, the details to the T2X concept's motor, transmission and drivetrain are enshrouded in the typical auto show vale of secrecy. Expect more information on the T2X's particulars and photos of the exterior and interior after the vehicle's official debut in Seoul today.
