The Cobalt SS is equipped with a five-speed manual transmission that drives the front wheels. To ensure that every last pony gets transmitted to the ground, the Cobalt SS uses 215/45R 18 performance rubber wrapped around stylish 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels.

Aside from being the hottest Cobalt on the market, the SS is the best equipped. Its build quality and interior materials shame the past Cavalier, with an execution of design that is more solid. SS models receive standard perforated leather front buckets with two-toned inserts, with the highlighted color applied to the door trim as well. To jazz up the atmosphere, aluminum trim spices up the cockpit. The Cobalt SS also features air conditioning, power windows, a multi-function steering wheel and 7-speaker audio system.
The new Cobalt (and SS) will be on sale in the fall as 2005 models.
