ALMOST A "MINI-MINIVAN"
With its four doors "hot rod" look, the PT Cruiser is almost the same as a ?mini-minivan? with measurements nearing the Colt and Eagle Summit.

In fact, the PT Cruiser is a bit larger than the Summit: about eight or nine mm wider and longer and mostly more than 20 mm higher. Oddly enough, the interior is narrower than one might think at first glance.

Its elevated roof provides ample headroom and discloses a quite roomy luggage compartment. The utility styled rear section is probably the only aesthetically ordinary aspect. The seats are mounted higher than in a compact and allow outstanding visibility. One of the PT?s noticeable advantages is its versatile arrangement.

Being in the same family as a minivan, its seats are foldable 65/45. They can be tilted forward or completely removed (they are fitted with casters) to create a flat cargo floor. Moreover, the front passenger bucket seat can be totally folded to accommodate objects such as an eight-foot ladder.

In the luggage compartment, behind the seat, is a three-level removable shelf that can be used as a picnic table. The rear seats, fitted with head rests and three points safety belts take two adults rather than three.

The dashboard of that internationally oriented vehicle is designed for either a right-hand or a left-hand steering. The central part houses two ventilation ducts and the climate and audio controls. Below those controls are two inevitable cup holders.
