The exterior changes to the coupes are considerable, including new front and rear fascias, a different grille, hood, trunk, headlamps, taillights, and fog lights.
There are also some changes inside the Stratus and Sebring coupes, including a revised console and some new fabrics, but nothing too remarkable.
PT CRUISER ADDS TURBO: In an effort to stop the serious sales slide the PT Cruiser's been experiencing lately, DaimlerChrysler will bring a more performance-oriented version for 2003.
The key ingredient of this model is the turbocharged 2.4-litre inline-four that will deliver 215 hp at 5000 rpm and 245 lb.-ft. of torque at 3600 rpm. Nearly all of that torque will be available across most of the power band.
This engine will be attached to a five-speed manual shifter, but a four-speed automatic with Chrysler's manu-matic AutoStick transmission will also be optional.
Chrysler will also change the PT Cruiser's suspension, going in a more performance direction. It will also get upgraded brakes, wheels, tires and exhaust system.
To keep you in place better if you really want to string the PT Cruiser Turbo out a little, Chrysler has included more supportive front seats.
And just so everyone knows you've got a hotter version of the PT Cruiser, the Turbo model will get unique styling cues and a special paint job.
JEEP LIBERTY CHANGES: DaimlerChrysler has already changed the suspension settings of all its Liberty models to provide a better on-road ride and reduce the vehicle's propensity to roll over, and now it will make interior fitment and packaging changes for 2003.
