Dodge Slashes Cash Price to Make Way for 2005 Caravan Available Early 2004
Just after announcing its updated 2005 Caravan lineup available early in 2004, that will include optional flat folding Stow 'n Go seats for long-wheelbase models, DaimlerChrysler Canada is reducing the price of its 2004 Dodge Caravan short-wheelbase minivan to $21,588, including freight charges that usually amount to an additional $1,025.

That's a $7,057 reduction in the van's normal MSRP of $28,645 including freight. No competitive minivan, including the segment's normally lowest priced Kia Sedona, comes close to matching this offer.
The van offered, a 2004 Dodge Caravan 28C, receives the base 3.3-L V6 powering the front wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission. Additional features include an AM/FM/CD audio system, manual air conditioning, dual sliding side doors, power windows, locks and mirrors, cruise control, and 7-passenger accommodation.

Customers will "forego incentives available to cash purchasers," according to a DaimlerChrysler Canada release, but those looking to save money in the long term will no doubt see the benefit of the cash deal.
The incentives packages available currently include zero percent financing on 2004 Caravans and Grand Caravans for terms up to 48 months, and zero percent on remaining 2003 Caravan and Grand Caravan models for up to 72 months.
Lease customers can save too, with low monthly rates advertised at $310 per month with an initial deposit of $3,350.
The automaker's 84 month/115,000 km powertrain warranty is part of any package offered.
