Fiat Chrysler Automobiles revealed the production version of the all-new 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider this week at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit ahead of its arrival at dealerships this summer. Pricing has not been disclosed yet.
The 4C's convertible variant is motivated by a 1.75L turbocharged engine with direct injection that produces 237 horsepower (an impressive 136 hp/L) through a dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters. It offers four drive modes including All-weather, Natural, Dynamic, and Race (in this mode, launch control can be activated, allowing the car to sprint from 0-96 km/h in just 4.1 seconds).
Moreover, the 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider will at some point be available with an Akrapovic dual-mode exhaust system featuring dual, centre-mounted tips with carbon fibre surround and signature Alfa resonant sound. Let's not forget the Track Package, which includes high-performance shock absorbers, larger sway bars, larger and staggered fitting 18” front and 19” rear forged aluminum wheels, Pirelli P-Zero “AR Racing” tires, a flat-bottom sport steering wheel with microfibre inserts, carbon fibre exterior mirrors, and a carbon fibre gauge cluster bezel, plus the availability of black leather performance seats with microfibre inserts and red or yellow accent stitching.
