After its big reveal online last week, the new Infiniti Q60 concept was officially introduced during Infiniti's press conference at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit yesterday. It's the precursor to an exhilarating premium 2+2 coupe to be launched next year.

The Infiniti Q60 concept boasts sharp contours and a hand-crafted interior featuring premium leather, Alcantara, and carbon fibre. The audaciously low roofline and quilted leather seats are reminiscent of the elegant Q80 Inspiration full-size sedan concept (shown this past October at the Paris Motor Show), while the aerodynamic gills behind the front wheel arches are inherited from the famous Q50 Eau Rouge sports sedan concept.

Hunkering down at 4,690mm long, 1,865mm wide, and 1,370mm high, the two-door concept rides on 21” wheels with spokes in matte black and high-gloss black chromes. Under the hood is the same 3.0L twin-turbo V6 that was found in the Q80 Inspiration.

Inside the Infiniti Q60 concept, an array of leathers was used to bring out the best comfort, from premium saddle leather to thick cushion quilting. Even oft-ignored rear passengers get stylish bucket seats. Furthermore, the new Infiniti InTuition system, a fully customizable digital environment, works with the vehicle's advanced Intelligent Keys to recognize the vehicle settings for up to four different drivers, including preferences for driving position, heating and cooling, audio, navigation, telematics.

The Q60 concept will enter production in 2016.
