General Motors, for example, has the right leadership team under Chief Executive Officer and Chairman-elect Richard Wagoner, GM Vice Chairman Robert A. Lutz, and Chief Financial Officer John Devine to move forward, he said. "GM's problem is bureaucratic drag."
Ford and DaimlerChrysler's Chrysler Group have a lot to work on, however, he noted.
"I wouldn't rate (Ford's game plan) right now," Wujciak said. "Ford will come back and they are working on the right things. With Chrysler, the combination of German innovation and engineering and American vision will make them more nimble than GM. They'll be one to watch out for."
