But the most fun will come from the surprising ability of the Liberty CRD to get moving when you want it to, thanks largely to the appearance of 295 lb-ft of torque at 1,800 rpm. That much grunt at so few revs gives the Liberty CRD off-the-line power that many gasoline-powered cars can't come close to matching and overrules any objections relating to diesel performance.
In every driving situation I could encounter on dry roads, the Liberty CRD is a treat to drive.
It also wasn't too bad at the business of keeping you comfortable, at least within the bounds of the genre. There were some small issues regarding the placement of things in the cabin, but that's a taste thing that will vary from person to person.
It should also be noted that this is not the same Liberty you may already have spent time in, since Jeep has seen fit to alter its popular sport-cute for 2005.
